Hot weather and an "old" man...

Ahhhh, yes. Lance is officially 30 years old...he claims it is "old." We had a wonderful weekend as my parents (Oma and Opa) came up and surprised Lance on his birthday (the 15th). We went to the zoo on Saturday and Kylah also rode her first "train." Granted it was the little one attached to the zoo which goes about 10 miles an hour, but she LOVED it. 

She also had her first snow cone, minus the icky sugary syrup, and loved that as well. This of course was prompted by the HOT weather we had this weekend, 104 degrees yesterday (yuck)! We also have been swimming a lot as well, which Ky just loves :) I included lots of pictures and a few videos. Enjoy!

It was the tiniest thing I ever decided to put my whole life into.

Words never rung so true! Over the past year  I have dedicated my life to a little girl, and it has been worth it on every level. I haven't slept enough, showered enough, brushed my teeth enough, or even kept my toe nails painted (shameful I know). Every moment I have not focused on myself has been spent on the most wonderful person I have ever experienced. She brings a smile to my face when I am having the WORST day and never fails to amaze me.

We don't have a walker yet, but she sure loves to stand! She will walk with help from myself or Lance, squealing in delight the entire time.
