Almost Mobile...

Me and my Baby :)
My little (almost) crawler!

There is nothing like having a child to make time fly! I only say this as I think we only have a few weeks until Kylah takes off and is completely mobile.

She now gets up on her hands and knees, and if the mood strikes her she will rock back and forth. The end result is usually that she collapses on her self and then rolls herself back over, but I think she will start crawling here REALLY soon.

She never ceases to amaze me as she is such an good natured girl, especially in public. Don't get me wrong, she has her moments that get me questioning my own sanity at times. She has started to "yell" and it is really a funny thing to behold. She makes this guttural yelling noise when she is playing, when she wants someone, and yes even when she sleeps. This last weekend I awoke to her making her yelling noise at 3:30 in the morning; I though something was seriously wrong! She was dead asleep making this noise, and didn't even wake herself up.

Her new favorites also include: watching feet as they walk upstairs; especially those of the person who is carrying her. It is pretty funny because she twists her body just so she can watch. Another favorite are remotes and cell phones. She loves them! She continues to be quite obsessed with the cats and screeches in delight upon seeing them.

I would like to say that she is sleeping really well, but the past few weeks have been kind of rough. She is now waking up 4-5 times a night, almost as if she were a newborn all over again. All I can say in this situation is THANK GOODNESS for co-sleeping. All you naysayers out there in regards to babies sleeping with mommy and daddy at this age can look the other way because it provides a lot more sanity for daddy and mommy. We will just focus on sleep training when she is at a more reasonable age. I am really not a proponent of the cry it out method, so that has not been an option for us. We did try it, and did no have the hearts to follow through. I know a lot of people will argue with me, but I DO NOT want my baby to have even the slightest sense of abandonment. Other parents I have talked with have told me they would leave their older babies/young toddlers crying for hours at a time (2+) and this just seems cruel! When we can verbalize more with her I think we will address the sleep issues we have. One day at a time!!!!

Other than that I still can say with no hesitation that she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I am amazed that I have her in my life :)

My Baby Girl

I know this is long overdue, but our camera broke, so we have been without picture taking capabilities for a while. I decided to post previous pictures of Kylah from her first 3 months. Enjoy!!! I will hopefully have more to post as soon as we get a new camera. She is such an amazing little girl, things are so wonderful and she fills me with amazement EVERYDAY!!!! I am so lucky :)
