Indeed it was a happy one! We had SO much fun taking Ky trick-or-treating for the first time in Carmel Mission Fields, where I grew up trick-or-treating! We took her to about 15 houses and she was REALLY into it by the end. Once she discovered that sweet, sticky, yummy candy was involved in the end, she liked it a whole lot more.
She is ever-changing these days and is saying so much. She is communicating so much and she tries, and mostly succeeds in copying the words we say to her. She will say: meow (when asked what a cat says), m00 (for a cow), up, down, mama, dada, ball, moon, go, this, what is this?, no, ya (for yes), and dog. She still uses sign language for more, as well. Ultimately, she understands EVERYTHING we ask her and can easily discern between a question and a statement.
I am so excited she is trying her best at communicating as she gets really frustrated when she can't tell us what she needs/wants. That really doesn't bother me as I can only imagine how difficult it must be to know what you want, but not be able to get your point across!
Enjoy the pictures I included of the princess!
