Little girls, like butterflies, need no excuse.: April 2009

So yes the title says it all. We have a 10 month old who decided just a few weeks ago that a binky (pacifier) is something she would like to now use! We tried in vain to get her to take on in the beginning and then at 9 1/2 months she decided while digging through her toy basket that it would be a good idea to use the binky she found in there. No prompting from me, she simply put it in her mouth and continued to dig around for her desired toy.

Kylah has made many changes in the last month and the biggest are CRAWLING and teeth. She is now crawling everywhere and quite the little busy-body. She likes to follow me all over the house while I do chores and is quite content to "help" me with whatever I am doing. The other big development is her teeth. We went through quite a rough spring break while she cut 4 teeth all at the same time (on top). She now has 7 totally adorable little teeth in her beautiful smile!

Over spring break we (Ky and I) went to Carmel and had a wonderful time in the SUN! IT was beautiful and she had her first playing-in-the-sand experience. We also had a play-date with the 3 other babies born to teachers I work with. Evan was born just a month and a half after Ky, Elizabeth was born in December 2008, and little Sophia was born in January 2009. We had a lot of fun together, more for the mommies ultimately.

Kylah also had her 10 month check-up and all was wonderful. She is starting to taper off in the growth department and is now in the 50th percentile for weight (19.5 pounds) and 75th for height (30 inches). No shots this go around as we were all up to date, so that necessary evil will be avoided until 14 months!

Ky's first easter was quite wonderful and we actually went to church with one of Lance's co-workers. It was a little to preachy for me, but Ky and I escaped to a little infant play room and had fun there! The pics we got are hilarious because you can tell she is NOT happy!

Other than that we made an offer on our first house, so keep your fingers crossed for us! It is wonderful and I will post with more detail if our offer is accepted. Enjoy the pictures!
